Welcome back zoom

I felt surprisingly more relaxed in the welcome back zoom on Friday compared to the one I attended in Module One. Perhaps its because as I embark on Module two although the worry of the unknown still lies ahead I know I felt this way in Module One and still managed to get through.  Or perhaps it's because I now have a network within the BAPP community who I know are feeling or have felt the same way as I do.

For those just starting Module One as well as reading the handbook over and over I would highly recommend:

  • Reading as many blogs as you can - those in the same module and different modules to you.
  • Join the BA PP Community Facebook page.
  • If you're able to get a Whatsapp group going for Module One I would highly recommend it.  Its so reassuring to know others are going through the same emotions as you!
  • Saying it again as it's SO important - read the handbook over and over.  At each reading your understanding of the module and what's expected will become clearer!
So now to practice what I preach and get back to re-reading the handbook for Module 2!
Wishing everyone a good term ahead whichever module you may be on!

  2. Hi Jen, yes agreed... i felt a lot more calm on this call than i did on any other the skypes throughout M1! Which is weird because m2 seems a lot more work of even more of the unknown , but like you said we got through it and we will again! Bit like the lockdowns here in the UK hahaha 3rd and counting.. maybe it will coincide with my modules then i wont have to work and ill get the uni work done before life returns to normal! hahaha -
Ive read the handbook a few times and still i'm bit confused.. its the lit review that is really freaking me at the moment, so fingers crossed within the next few weeks we will get some guidance on it.
    Lovely post x

  3. Hi Jen, I felt a lot less worried on the call too. I also keep telling myself that if I can through Module One then I can get through the next 12 weeks too. And we are so lucky we have this great community for support too. Some great advice for the Module Ones, also a nice little reminder for Module Two. Thank you for sharing x

  4. The blogs, Facebook group and our module what's app group are a godsend to help us get through this course! Also with the help of our supervisors of course!

I am feeling the same and a little nervous to start this module just because the world load has massively increased! But we got through module 1 so we will get this module 2 as well!!!

  5. Hi Jen, completely agree we have to keep reminding ourselves we got through module one and we have each other for support! Some really good advice, and I think the handbook will be our new best friend! Lots to do but we can make it happen!! x

  6. Hey, Sorry I guess I'm totally late with this but - there is a what's app group, is there a possibility someone could add me in please? I think that would really help me to feel not so distant to everything. ( I promise no pictures of dogs or babies).
But you summed it up nicely, I guess the handbook isn't ever to be feared!...it's a safe place to try and help us expand our knowledge and encourage us to keep searching.
best wishes to everyone! Lauren xx

  7. Hi Jen, some great advise! I think it is so easy to get caught up in stressing about the unknown on this course, so the whats app group has really helped with that. I agree the handbook can be helpful when you have re-read it to understand what it is saying :)
